It might be interesting if you did a video or just a short article on different grips for different exercises. For example you talked about deadlift and pull ups. You could talk about mixed grip straight overhand and for pull ups you can talk about neutral, chin ups, overhand, and mixed there as well. Another up and coming idea is training all with fat grips. Just something interesting to think about while training. Love the website man keep up the hard work. Sorry for all the postings and suggestions.

Hey CK just wondering your thoughts on cleansers? I don’t think I would use one right now but what are your thoughts. If you were going to change your lifestyle eating wise would this be a smart move to trigger your system and prime it?? Maybe you could incorporate something like this in your nutrition section

    • I-Man good to hear from you…..I’ve never done a cleanse, I’ve heard a lot of different opinions from people who’ve done them. My initial reaction is that cleanses are a trend and put way too much stress on the body, essentially just starving yourself to lose a few temporary pounds. I would say that the best cleanse you could do is to start by eliminating sugar completely. This means fruit, dairy, veggies aside from anything green (spinach/asparagus/broccolli), etc. Whenever I cut sugar completely this is what I eat:

      1. Scrambled egg whites & spinach and plain oatmeal
      2. Solide white albacore tuna w/asparagus over brown rice
      3. Grilled Chicken/Fish/Shrimp over romaine/kale

Obviously these meals are very plain and I wouldn’t expect anyone to eat like this all the time. I’ll also use some hot sauce to spice it up a little.

Remember water is going to be the only thing you’ll drink or unsweeted green tea. If you do this for a few days you’ll see how your body feels without sugar and how dependent you may have become on it. Let me know how many days you last bro (no more than a week).

Pumped for the new updates and would love to see more videos. In one of your first videos you talked about chest vs. back and too much emphasis on chest routines pulls the frame forward. With all the muscles in the back I’d be interested in a video routine of that hits them all as well as advice on how to best isolate the back w/ as little shoulder involvement as possible. Do your thing and get us that triple double in the gym.

    • DK-

Great suggestion, I just put up some new vids in all the sections so check those out and I’ll hit you with a serious back routine with my next post. For this week start working on pullups and if you can’t do 10, do as many as you can and then do Lat Pulldowns for the reps you couldn’t get.
