In my experience girls want one of two things when it comes to working out- to lose weight, to “tone up”, or maybe a combination of the two. Strength training should be the foundation of your workout for both of these goals as lean muscle fuels your metabolism, trust me when I say you won’t get “bulky” like many of you are afraid of. If you want to be fit, lean and sexy use these exercises that are broken down by body part and skill level.

Losing weight: Pick one exercise per body part and perform circuit style doing your best to alternate between upper and lower body movements.

Toning: Isolate one body part per day by picking 3-4 exercises for that area and do 3 sets of 10-15 repetitions with 1-2 minutes rest in between sets.
